What I Wish I Knew When I Started Teaching

Nobody taught me how to teach. There was an assumption that if you knew the material, or were just excited about the topic, you could teach it.

Teaching is about relationships.

Teaching is about inspiration

Teaching is improvisation

Teaching is not about grades

Teaching is about what you will remember in 20 years

“I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”
